David Saathoff CPA PLLC is privately-owned accounting firm located in Vancouver, Washington.

We provide a variety of tax and accounting services to individuals and businesses. Our clients are our most valuable assets. One of our goals when helping clients is to have them pay the lowest amount of tax possible. With tax laws constantly changing, our team stays on top of the changes to provide the best service possible to our clients. In addition, we have an online client portal to provide faster service to our clients.

We have been proudly serving the Vancouver and Portland metro area since 1984 and continue to take pleasure in assisting our clients with their ever-growing needs. We have a talented team of accountants and staff to support our clients. Meet our team below.

Our Team

David Saathoff

Owner, Certified Public Accountant

David is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University in 1969 and his Master’s Degree in Accounting from Arizona State University in 1983. He has been practicing for over 40 years and provides experience and accuracy to his clients. One thing that you may not know about David is that he is an avid outdoor sportsman and enjoys spending his time during the off-season hunting.

Kristin McMahon

Senior Manager, Certified Public Accountant

Kristin is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Kristin works with many small businesses and enjoys helping clients better understand their tax returns, assisting with tax saving strategies, and being a liaison between clients and tax authorities. She joined our firm in 2009. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University with a double major in Accounting and Management & Operations with a minor in Human Resource Management. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and exploring the outdoors.

Tammy Bredeson

Tax Preparer | Bookkeeper

Tammy joined David Saathoff CPA in 2021 as Office Manager and has since expanded her role to include tax preparation. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Tammy began her career in the financial industry, where she held a variety of positions and earned her Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
In 2007, Tammy moved to Washington with her husband and two children. She spent several years raising her family while working from home doing bookkeeping. When her children reached high school, she returned to the workforce and eventually joined David Saathoff CPA. Her background in finance and bookkeeping provided a strong foundation for her work in tax preparation.
Outside of work, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and friends and staying active through hiking, biking, kayaking, and fitness.

Karter Lindquist

Certified Public Accountant

Karter is a licensed Certified Public Accountant who loves helping individuals, businesses, and estates navigate their tax needs. He began his accounting career in 2018 and joined David Saathoff CPA PLLC in 2022. Karter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University-Idaho. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons. Together, they prefer to be outdoors, whether in the yard, going to the beach, or hiking around the Pacific Northwest.

Kristine Briner

Kristine joined the firm in 2024 as the Office Administrator, and has since expanded her role in tax preparation. After working in the mortgage and banking industry, she was excited to dive deeper into the tax world and gain more knowledge on how to assist people with their individual tax needs. She is an organized and motivated individual, ready to learn from and help the team. Kristine enjoys spending as much time with her three sons and husband as possible.

Isaiah Caballero

Tax Accountant

Isaiah joined the firm in 2026 as a Tax Accountant. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and his Master’s degree in Economics from California State University, Fullerton. Isaiah began his career in auditing, working on engagements that focused on the monitoring and oversight of government entities at the local, state, and federal levels. Seeking to broaden his experience as an accountant, Isaiah transitioned from auditing to tax preparation. Outside of work, Isaiah enjoys playing basketball and online speed chess.
